Dear Parents and Players,
I'm hoping you received the district's messages from Thursday regarding the school's plans to collect textbooks, athletic uniforms, etc., but if not I wanted to keep you updated and also inform you of the plans regarding the golf team and what this means for us. Fortunately, the only issue we have as far as returning equipment is regarding our golf bags. Uniforms, pullovers and hats were paid for by the bulk of the player donation and are the players to keep and enjoy. Bags are normally collected at the end of the season, but given that there was a very small amount of money left over from not being spent on transportation and team meals, I am offering two options for you to exercise during the collection period. Option 1 is players can turn in their bags during the Tuesday through Thursday collection process, and receive a $50 refund once we have completed the process and I can run it through our student body account, or Option 2 is players can keep their bag in lieu of the refund.
Athletic collections will be held Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
If you decide to return the bag, please put it in a garbage bag with the player's full name clearly attached to outside. Once the collection days are over, I will begin the process of issuing refunds to those who decide to return their bags.
It has been a tumultuous period full of constant, myriad challenges, and I appreciate the support the players and I have received from you parents, and Whitney Oaks. I spoke to Jerry last week and he said the players have been great about checking in and taking advantage of the amazing offer he gave our program allowing two foursomes to play for free on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and that this will be available as long as the times are not taken by paying customers. This offer will run at least until the end of May, and I hope players continue to take advantage of it.
It has been extremely hard having our season taken away from us, and the only blessing I can hang on to was that at least there were no seniors in the program who lost their last year. I have high hopes that we will return stronger and better for next season, and will be keeping you informed on what this looks like as we learn more information and near this time. Thank you again for all you have done, and please let me know if you have any further questions or need any additional information.
Stay healthy and well,
