The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and the Sac-Joaquin Section (SJS) announced the alterations that will be made to the 2020-21 sport calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This new sport calendar was developed by the Section Commissioners and the State CIF Office after several months of research as well as input from Coaches, Athletic Directors, and School Administrators. 
 
In short, all sports were divided into two seasons of play (Season #1 and Season #2) instead of the standard three seasons of play (fall, winter, and spring). The breakdown is as follows:
 
Season #1 includes the following sports: cross country (men and women), volleyball (men and women), water polo (men and women), and football. Season #1 will have the following start dates for official tryouts:
 
                12/07/2020 - Football, Cross Country, Cheer & Dance
                12/14/2020 - Volleyball & Water Polo
 
Season #2 includes the following sports: baseball, basketball (men and women), golf (men and women), lacrosse (men and women), soccer (men and women), softball, STUNT, swimming/diving (men and women), tennis (men and women), track and field (men and women), wrestling (men and women). Season #2 will have the following start dates for official tryouts:
 
                 02/01/2021 - Tennis & Golf
                 02/22/2021 - Basketball, Soccer, Stunt & Wrestling
                 03/08/2021 - Baseball, Softball & Swim
                 03/15/2021- Track and Field & Lacrosse
 
While we understand that this set-up is not ideal for multi-sport athletes, it allows us to carry out full seasons of sport with minimal crossover between the two seasons of sport. We will work closely between our multi-sports to alleviate as much stress as possible.  Furthermore, facility issues were considered account by the CIF in order to avoid the cancellation of specific levels of sport or programs. This is obviously (and hopefully) only a one year adjustment due to the pandemic and we will return to a normal, three season sports season (fall, winter, spring) the following year.
 
In the coming weeks, the Rocklin  Athletics Coaching Staff will adjust their game schedules, practice schedules, and training regimens to best prepare the student-athletes for this adaptation of the schedule. REQUIREMENTS

MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO THE START DATE OF YOUR SPORT:  
 
1)   Have current school year physical completed.  Use RHS Physical Form and visit your doctor or one of the Chiropractic offices listed on our
       website.    
      
  2)  Complete online Final Forms athletics registration & upload your physical - both parent and student
        signatures required.
 
  3)  All athletes must have a parent attend the Mandatory Parent Meeting.  Date TBA
 
  4)  Voluntary Athletic Contribution Form (VAC) - complete and turn in at the start of each season of sport.  
 
ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:  
 
Minimum 2.0 GPA with no more than one non-passing grade on last report card.
