Welcome Information

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Flag Football Team.

We invite you to come out for the team as we encourage all athletes to participate at Rocklin High School.  Flag Football is the nations largest growing girls sport and it has taken California and our local are by storm!

With a JV and Varsity team we are proud of the foundation and traditions we have established in the inaugural 2 seasons to make RHS Flag Football one of the premier programs in the SJS sectioin.

Please review the Summer Schedule and the FAQ tab on this page for more detailed information.

Have a great rest of the year and we look forward to working with you over the next four years.  If you have any questions of our program please feel free to email me at rspears@rocklinusd.org.

I participate on a club soccer team or softball team and it is at the same time as flag, can I still play?  We love multi-sport athletes in our program and your club or AAU team should too!  We are willing to work with your outside coach to see if you are able to do both.

What do I need to start flag in the fall?  You must have a valid physical, register online through final forms and check of your VAC

Can I participate in the youth camp as a coach?  If you are an incoming 9th grader you are encouraged to particpate as a volunteer coach for our youth camp.  Great News you recieve community service hours toward graduation!

Are the Summer practices mandatory?  They are not mandatory but highly encourage to get you ready for tryouts and to start getting involved in our culture!

Do you have to have prior experience?  No,  but get started with the learning process now/summer. Go out and play catch with a parent, sibling or friend.

Do we have a game like the Quarry Bowl between Rocklin and Whitney?  Yes we do! It is called Battle for the Belt and we play Friday night  Quarry Bowl week before the Varsity Boys Football game in front of over 4000 spectators!

Is there a cost to play Flag Football?  Yes , but we have some great fundraisers that keep the out of pocket costs to a minimum.

Do I need any equipment to play Flag football?  You will need the following equipment.  Mouthpiece, cleats, reciever gloves and head gear.  Head gear information will be given out later do not go out and buy your own.  (you do not need these items for summer until you have found out if you made the team.)
