Expectations
Attendance at school is compulsory until the 18th birthday or graduation from high school. Students are expected to be in class on time daily in order to receive maximum benefits from the instructional program. A student is considered absent from class if they miss 30+ minutes of a class period.
Senior Attendance Policy
Students must maintain a minimum 90% attendance during each semester of their senior year in order to participate in Senior Activities. This includes all period and full day absences, whether excused or unexcused, and off-campus suspensions.
Clearing Absences
Verification of absences is to be made by either: phone call, written note, email, or via the Parent Square portal from a parent/guardian indicating the date and reason for the absence within three (3) days.
Graduation Requirements
A minimum of 250 credits must be earned in grades 9-12 in order to meet graduation requirements. Requirements include:
- Language Arts 4 Years / 40 Units
- Social Studies with Geography 3.5 Years / 35 Units
- Mathematics (Through Integrated Math II) 3 Years / 30 Units
- Science 3 Years / 30 Units
- Physical Education 3 Years / 30 Units
- Career and Technical Education 1 Year / 10 Units
- Visual/Performing Arts 1 Year / 10 Units
- Foreign Language 1 Year / 10 Units
- Health 0.5 Years / 5 Units
