Student Athletic Trainers

Student Trainer Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week in training room
  • Provide First Aid at Frosh/JV/Varsity football games/practices
  • Professional & Positive attitude
  • Academic Eligibility
We are looking for motivated students to make a commitment towards continuing the tradition of a strong student athletic training program.  Student Athletic Trainers will be expected to work in the training room/on the field after school at least twice a week Monday-Thursday, in order to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful.   Students will be taught taping techniques and other preventative care as well as first aid, and basic rehabilitation principles.  All student athletic trainers will work under the close supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer.  Student Athletic Trainers will work with all athletes at RHS although extended coverage is only offered for football games at this time.  All students chosen to participate will be required to show proof of CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certification.  (Hands on Course required- no online…) before getting to work in August.
