Advanced Placement 2d Design is a year long course promoting the development of body of work (29 piece portfolio) used to complete the AP exam in May.  Aspects of the portfolio development include quality (5 pieces), concentration (12 pieces), and breadth (12 pieces). This course enables students to develop mastery in concept, composition, and execution of 2d Design with structured feedback and technical assistance by the instructor. The course includes group and individual student critiques enabling students to learn to analyze their own artwork as well as others.   Students may earn college credit or advanced placement or both depending on the policies of the institution.

Tutoring and Lab Hours:
All Advanced Placement students are required to stay for Plus Period for the period they are enrolled in AP.  In addition to Plus, there is an after school lab each Wednesday from 2:45-3:45 pm.  This is not required but strongly suggested for students to attend.
