 Drivers' Ed/Family Life/Health Information

The Drivers' Ed/Family Life/Health class has been transitioning from a sophomore class to a freshmen level class.  This course provides one semester of Health (RHS graduation requirement) and a quarter each of Drivers' Ed and of Family Life (both are not graduation requirements).  Students enrolled in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program in the science department are taking Principles of Bio Medicine as freshmen and are not enrolled in the Health courses sequence.  The reason for this is because the second year of the PLTW program students will be enrolled in Human Body Systems which counts for the Health course requirement.  In order to graduate from RHS, students will be required to complete either the Health course sequence or Human Body Systems.

In addition, the sequence in which the course is taught will be Health in the fall semester and Drivers' Ed/Family Life in the spring sememster.  Should you have any questions or need more information, please call the Counseling Office at 916-632-1600 (ext. 6110).
